Our Locations in Africa
A farmer’s greatest triumph in their farming journey is in good soil preparation, sowing good quality seeds, managing costs and reaping a bountiful harvest. We therefore source and select our seeds for both green house and open field production from renowned, leading and globally respected seed producers and breeders who meet all international seed testing standards.
Our hybrid and open pollinated seeds portfolio is carefully chosen, tried and tested locally to suit the soil and growing conditions in Uganda. Additionally, we have our professional team of agronomists advising farmers on the best seed varieties suitable for their regions.
The effects of climate change have interrupted sowing and harvesting patterns across Uganda. In an effort to help farmers better adapt, we are continuously working on providing high quality hybrid seeds that are well adapted and capable of dealing with changing climatic conditions and emerging diseases.
In recent years, drought has become a major challenge for our farmers in Uganda who are dependent on rain fed agriculture. To mitigate this, we supply hybrid vegetable and fodder seeds that are drought tolerant.
Our seeds have added value and benefited small and medium scale farmers, export farmers as well as Non- Governmental organizations (NGO’s) and Community Based Organisations (CBO’s) working with communities towards sustainable farming.
In our range of tomato seeds, Shanty Improved F1 is suitable for regions experiencing high temperatures and dry growing conditions. Additionally, it also has high resistance to Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus (TYLCV).

Nova F1 has medium-big fruit sizes of 110-140g, deep red colour with good shelf life.
Our Zara F1 and Nova F1 tomato varieties are resistant to bacterial wilt and are recommended for wilt prone areas.
Additionally, we also offer a wide range of Indeterminate varieties for under cover production such as Nikomatte F1 which is a saladette variety with 140-180g fruit size as well as Bruno F1 which is a beef tomato with 180 – 220g fruit size.
Our Onion Russet F1 ensures that the output is higher than per given area. This variety is well suited for the cooler regions and has very early maturing making it advantageous for rain fed production. The bulb size is medium to large, very pungent with a deep red color and with a potential output of 30 Tonnes per acre. It has proved resistance to pink root and the variety can be grown both under irrigation and in rain fed areas.
Most onion growing areas face challenges of Onion Pink Root disease from continuous onion production with limited crop rotation.
Our Neptune F1 is a variety suited for warmer regions and tolerant to harsh conditions. The bulb is medium to large, very pungent with a deep red colour and potential output of 30 tonnes per acre. It can be stored for 5 – 6 months after harvesting.
Cabbage farming traditionally thrives in cool and wet areas. However, our Chaka F1 seed variety is well adapted to dry conditions with some irrigation. It is a superior, hardy hybrid variety with good heat tolerance. It exhibits superior traits of large wrapper blueish – green leaves protecting heads. It also has excellent dense internal quality with good field holding and with a potential head size of 3 – 5 kg. The maturity period is 90 -100 days and has disease resistances of fussarium, downy mildew and a high level of resistance to Xanthomonas (black rot).
Through our focused product development approach, we are continuously looking for and testing new varieties to solve emerging diseases that farmers are battling with.
