Amiran Farmer's Kit
In 2008, we launched the award-winning Amiran Farmer’s Kit (AFK) is a tailor-made to meet the needs of the small to medium scale farmers in enabling them access to affordable, modern agricultural technologies, methods and inputs of the highest standard. This kit is adapted to suit the climate and terrain in Kenya. It was designed by our team of experts and was anchored on globally recognized and tested technologies. Our AFK is a combination of innovative agricultural technologies including the Family Drip System (FDS) – an easy to use gravity based drip irrigation system; a Farmer’s Greenhouse and top quality agro-inputs such as Seeds, Bio-Organic Plant Protection and Bio-Organic Nutrients. It comes as a complete package with installation, training, facilitation and agro-support from planting to harvesting period.
Green houses and tunnel covers
In keeping with our promise to our customers, we provide advanced cover films that have unique thermal, mechanical and optical properties that make them ideal for protecting crops, enhancing growth, and meeting the varying needs of growers. Our range of plastic cover films comprises of sun cover, drip lock, sun saver and milky.
Suncover
These are polyethylene covers manufactured with metallocene improving mechanical properties, stabilized against UV radiation. This group of products includes transparent and light diffusing cover films of different UV radiation penetration levels (complete blockage, enabling partial penetration and open to UV radiation). These cover films also contain an anti-dust additive that reduces the absorption of dust. They are manufactured with various degrees of the shading property (white), which reduces the penetration of radiation.
Sunsaver
These polyethylene or EVA-based cover films are characterized by a high level of mechanical strength and stabilized against UV radiation. These are thermal films (IR) that include the anti-drip property. This group of products includes transparent and light diffusing cover films, and cover films with various levels of UV radiation penetration properties (complete blockage, enabling partial penetration, and open to UV radiation), while also containing an anti-dust additive that reduces the absorption of dust. The cover films are manufactured with various degrees of the shading property (white), which reduces the penetration of radiation.
Driplock
These are cover films made of polyethylene with improved mechanical properties, stabilized against UV radiation and containing the anti-drip property. This group of products includes transparent and light diffusing cover films of different UV radiation penetration levels (complete blockage, enabling partial penetration, and open to UV radiation), while also containing an anti-dust additive that reduces the absorption of dust.
Milky
Milky films are highly advanced, long-lasting multi-layer photo selective films for use in greenhouse and tunnel covering applications. Multi-layer technology with selected additives, provides the right combination of strength, versatility and light transmission.
Dam Liners
Our Dam Liners offer excellent polythene based solutions for agricultural and water management applications which are customized to fit the users’ specifications.
Shade Nets
Our high-quality knitted shade cloth is used for a variety of crops to exclude birds, provide uniform shadow and to control air movement in greenhouses and nurseries. The tapes have UV resistant additives giving the net durability and longevity. The net is recyclable and resistant to agrochemicals.
Black Shading nets

Aluminets
They moderate day/night temperatures, enabling microclimate control in greenhouses and nurseries. They provide uniform shadow, controls air movement and provides optimum diffused light transmission to the crops. Aluminet heat curtain protects against frost radiation and saves energy in heated structures due to its high reflectivity.
Chromatinet
This is a group of light filtering nets that controls vegetative growth characteristics by light spectrum managements.
Optinet Protection
These are insect protection nets for installation in net houses and on greenhouse envelops to keep out aphids, thrips and mites. Windbreaks for individual and environmental installation. Hail protection nets for installation in inclined and vertical structures. Bird protection nets for installation in different structures and to be thrown above tree canopies.
Decorative Net
These are used for shading playgrounds, swimming pools, large open areas, home-pergolas, garden balconies as well as permanent and mobile shade structures.
Anti-insect nets
Our OptiNet range of nets is a patented technology that integrates two methods for control of greenhouse thrips and other insects. The dual protection significantly reduces the number of pests entering the structure, while maintaining adequate airflow. As a result, fewer pesticide treatments are needed, complying with European standards, and saving costs.
Polyethylene Mulch
Mulch is a layer material applied on top of soil to conserver soil moisture, reduce weed growth, improve fertility and health of the soil and enhance the visual appeal of the area.
Agricultural Troughs
We believe in creating efficiencies in farming hence providing state of the art Mapal polypropylene troughs, drainage gutters and hanging gutter systems that are designed for soiless growing of vegetables, roses, cut flowers, herbs, strawberries & other berries.
Growing media
We provide Cocopeat which is an organic material and its production is part of the many uses of the coconut. When using Cocopeat for hydroponic growing, the environment is not harmed. We also avail our customers Kekkila peatmoss substrate which is carefully selected, first-class sphagnum peat harvested from Kekkila’s own peat bogs. The peat is a mix of raw materials from White Sphagnum peat screened to fine grade. The products are limed and fertilized.
LSM 3 W Plus
This is a high quality propagation soil, globally used for successful production of young plants from seeds and cuttings. We supply Kekkilä products which are high performance, hence guaranteeing customers of good growing results, no matter their location. It is made of a mix of carefully selected raw materials from our own peat bogs, with an extra high content of black peat which secures an excellent water holding capacity. This property ensures that in hot climate, the young plants are more drought resistant and less exposed to stress. It is ready to use, has been enriched with a full range of NPK fertilizer together with long lasting trace elements.
